We examine in detail the cosmology based on quantal (Bohmian) trajectories as suggested in a recent study arXiv:1404.3093[gr-qc]. We disagree with the conclusions regarding predicting the value of the cosmological constant $\Lambda$ and evading the big bang singularity. Furthermore, we show that the approach of using a quantum corrected Raychaudhuri equation (QRE), as suggested in arXiv:1404.3093[gr-qc], is unsatisfactory, because, essentially, it uses the Raychaudhuri equation, which is a…

Perturbative instability of inflationary cosmology from quantum potentials
AbstractIt was argued that the Raychaudhuri equation with a quantum correction term seems to avoid the Big Bang singularity and to characterize an everlasting Universe (Ali and Das in Phys Lett B
Space-Time Second-Quantization Effects and the Quantum Origin of Cosmological Constant in Covariant Quantum Gravity
The quantum origin of the cosmological constant is investigated and is shown to be ascribed to the non-linear Bohm quantum interaction of the gravitational field with itself in vacuum and to depend generally on the realization of the quantum probability density for the quantum gravitational field tensor.

Quantum Raychaudhuri equation
We compute quantum corrections to the Raychaudhuri equation, by replacing classical geodesics with quantal (Bohmian) trajectories, and show that they prevent focusing of geodesics, and the formation
Observational Evidence from Supernovae for an Accelerating Universe and a Cosmological Constant
We present spectral and photometric observations of 10 Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) in the redshift range 0.16 " z " 0.62. The luminosity distances of these objects are determined by methods that
Measurements of $\Omega$ and $\Lambda$ from 42 high redshift supernovae
We report measurements of the mass density, Omega_M, and cosmological-constant energy density, Omega_Lambda, of the universe based on the analysis of 42 Type Ia supernovae discovered by the Supernova
Nine-year Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) Observations: Cosmological Parameter Results
We present cosmological parameter constraints based on the final nine-year WMAP data, in conjunction with a number of additional cosmological data sets. The WMAP data alone, and in combination,
Einstein Gravity In A Nutshell
Detection of the baryon acoustic peak in the large-scale correlation function of SDSS luminous red galaxies
We present the large-scale correlation function measured from a spectroscopic sample of 46,748 luminous red galaxies from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. The survey region covers 0.72h −3 Gpc 3 over

Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos
Nonlinear dynamics deals with more-or-less regular fluctuations in system variables caused by feedback intrinsic to the system (as opposed to external forces). Chaos is the most exotic form of
