Various inorganic and organic compounds of molybdenum are investigated with respect to preparation of 99 Mo of high specific activity. The compounds are irradiated in pure form and mixed with substances like oxalic acid and ammonium oxalate as catchers. (NH„ )6 Mo, Ο,„ · 4 H, O, [Mo6 Cl8 ] Cl4, MoS,, Mo mixed with catchers and Mo02 (Cs H, 0 2 )2 gave low enrichment factors and low yields. Better results were obtained with Mo(CO)6, C5 Hs Mo (CO)3 CI and molybdenum oxinate. These compounds can be…

TLDR
This study shows how combining a macroscopic approach (distribution data acquisition and modeling) with molecular-scale investigations (FT-IR and X-ray absorption analysis supported by theoretical calculations) can provide a new insight into the description of a solvent extraction mechanism.
Chemical effects of (n, γ) nuclear reaction on (Mo6Cl8)Cl4
The chemical effects of98Mo(n, γ)99 Mo reaction on molybdenum(II) chloride [(Mo6Cl8)Cl4] have been studied. Retention, thermal and radiolytical annealing were determined. It was found that this
