We propose a Batalin-Vilkovisky (BV) formulation of boundary superstring field theory. The superstring field action is defined in terms of a closed one-form in the space of couplings, and we compute it explicitly for exactly solvable tachyon perturbations. We also argue that the superstring field action defined in this way is the partition function on the disc, in accord with a previous proposal.
Boundary superstring field theory
On the general action of boundary (super)string field theory
We reconstruct boundary superstring field theory via boundary states. After a minor modification of the fermionic two-form, all the equations needed for Batalin-Vilkovisky formulation are simply
Boundary Superstring Field Theory Annulus Partition Function in the Presence of Tachyons
We compute the Boundary Superstring Field Theory partition function on the annulus in the presence of independent linear tachyon profiles on the two boundaries. The R-R sector is found to contribute
Nonorientable boundary superstring field theory with a tachyon field
We use the boundary string field theory method to study the nonorientable open string field theory (type I). The partition function on the M\"obius strip is calculated. We find that, at the one-loop
Worldsheet Description of Tachyon Condensation in Open String Theory
In this thesis we review the fundamental framework of boundary string field theory (BSFT) and apply it to the tachyon condensation on non-BPS systems in the superstring theory. The boundary string
On open superstring partition function in inhomogeneous rolling tachyon background
We consider open superstring partition function Z on the disc in time-dependent tachyon background T = f(xi)e?x0 where the profile function f depends on spatial coordinates. We compute Z to second
Tachyonic kink and lump-like solutions in superstring field theory
We construct a kink solution on a non-BPS D-brane using Berkovits' formulation of superstring field theory in the level truncation scheme. The tension of the kink reproduces 95% of the expected BPS
Normalization of the Boundary Superstring Field Theory Action
The normalization of the boundary superstring field theory action is determined by computing the near on-shell amplitude involving three gauge fields. Contribution to the proceedings of Strings 2001,

The tachyon potential in open Neveu-Schwarz string field theory
A classical action for open superstring field theory has been proposed which does not suffer from contact term problems. After generalizing this action to include the non-GSO projected states of the
Interacting field theory of open superstrings
Boundary string field theory of the D anti-D system
We develop the boundary string field theory approach to tachyon condensation on the D{bar D} system. Particular attention is paid to the gauge fields, which combine with the tachyons in a natural
On Exact Tachyon Potential in Open String Field Theory
In these notes we revisit the tachyon lagrangian in the open string field theory using background independent approach of Witten from 1992. We claim that the tree level lagrangian (up to second order

From the computation it emerges that, although the string field action does not coincide with the world-sheet (matter) partition function in general, these functions do coincide on shell and this can be demonstrated in general.
A New approach to superstring field theory
I review the construction of an action for open superstring field theory which does not suffer from the contact term problems of other approaches. I also discuss a possible generalization of this
Some exact results on tachyon condensation in string field theory
The study of open string tachyon condensation in string field theory can be drastically simplified by making an appropriate choice of coordinates on the space of string fields. We show that a very
String Field Theory Around the Tachyon Vacuum
Assuming that around the tachyon vacuum the kinetic term of cubic open string field theory is made purely of ghost operators we are led to gauge invariant actions which manifestly implement the
