On suicide clusters: more than contagion.

Abstract

Suicide clusters and ‘contagion’ are sometimes used as equivalent terms (Boyce, 2011), but this is not exact. Sensu stricto, the concept of suicide cluster does not consider the reasons behind the accumulation of cases, but rather just the accumulation of cases (Joiner, 1999).
