In the paper a usual block design with treatment effects fixed and block effects random is considered. To compare experimental design the asymptotic covariance matrix of a robust estimator proposed by Bednarski and Zontek (1996) for simultaneous estimation of shift and scale parameters is used. Asymptotically Aand Doptimal block designs in the class of designs with bounded block sizes are characterized.

Optimality of the Orthogonal Block Design for Robust Estimation under Mixed Models
In the paper a usual block design with treatment effects fixed and block effects random is considered. Comparison of experiments is based on the asymptotic covariance matrix of a robust estimator
D-Optimum Designs for the Interblock-Model
Let a linear model with u ≥ 2 treatments and v ≥ 2 blocks be given. If there are no interactions between treatments and blocks, then by Yates [9] besides the customary intrablock estimators for the
Approximate Design Theory for a Simple Block Design with Random Block Effects
A simple block design with treatment effects fixed and block effects random is considered. It is shown that the sole design class which is amenable to an analysis is formed by all designs which are
Optimum Experimental Designs
TLDR
This book discusses experiments with both qualitative and quantitative factors, and the choice of a model and criteria for a good experiment, as well as the analysis of experiments.
A Note on Robust Estimation of Parameters in Mixed Unbalanced Models
The paper describes a method of robust estimation of shift and scale parameters in a mixed unbalanced interlaboratory model. The emphasis is placed on robust estimation of components of variation.
