Abstract Previously unknown drachms allow us to give new readings for the names of some Khwarezm-shahs: šk'm/'čk'm and k'nyr. A pronounced difference between the faces on coins with the name k'nyr suggests that there were two Khwarazmshahs of this same name. Approximate times of the reign of these rulers and their succession are established, based on the metrology and typology of their coins.
