A new on-chip miniaturized diplexer, implemented on glass-based integrated passive device (GIPD) process using dual-mode right- and left-handed synthesized coplanar waveguides (CPWs), is proposed and validated. The right-handed synthesized CPW is identical to a 50-Ω line in the low band but resembles an open circuit in the high band.
