On Alternating Segment Crank-Nicolson Scheme

In this paper the Alternating Segment Crank-Nicolson method for the diffusion equation is developed. The method is unconditionally stable and has the obvious property of parallelism. The numerical experiments by the method are made on a 5 transputer system, and the speedup of the method may be greater than 3.
