OBJECTIVES To review evidence relating to the measurement properties of older people specific self-assessed, multi-dimensional measures of health status. DESIGN Systematic literature searches to identify instruments. Pre-defined criteria relating to reliability, validity, responsiveness, precision and acceptability.
