An overwhelmingly large number of induced abortions in India are carried out due to unwanted pregnancies. Offering contraceptive choices to a woman /couple immediately after abortion can help prevent unwanted pregnancies and maternal morbidities. Yet, in an astoundingly large number of cases, abortion providers do not offer such contraceptive choices. The present paper seeks to explore this aspect in different contexts.
