Supersymmetry does not dictate the way we should quantize the fields in the supermultiplets, and so we have the freedom to quantize the Standard Model (SM) particles and their superpartners differently. We propose a generalized quantization scheme under which a particle can only appear off-shell, while its contributions to quantum corrections are exactly the same as those in the usual quantum field theory. We apply this quantization scheme solely to the sparticles in the $R$-parity preserving…

Strong coupling running, gauge coupling unification and the scale of new physics
A bstractThe apparent unification of gauge couplings in Grand Unified Theories (GUT) around 1016 GeV is one of the strong arguments in favor of Supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model. In

Fixing the EW scale in supersymmetric models after the Higgs discovery
Abstract TeV-scale supersymmetry was originally introduced to solve the hierarchy problem and therefore fix the electroweak (EW) scale in the presence of quantum corrections. Numerical methods
Naturalness and the Status of Supersymmetry
For decades, the unnaturalness of the weak scale has been the dominant problem motivating new particle physics, and weak-scale supersymmetry has been the dominant proposed solution. This paradigm is
Stealth supersymmetry
We present a broad class of supersymmetric models that preserve R-parity but lack missing energy signatures. These models are significantly less constrained than traditional supersymmetry by emerging
Neutrino masses in the Lee-Wick standard model
Recently, an extension of the standard model based on ideas of Lee and Wick has been discussed. This theory is free of quadratic divergences and hence has a Higgs mass that is stable against
A stealth supersymmetry sampler
A bstractThe LHC has strongly constrained models of supersymmetry with traditional missing energy signatures. We present a variety of models that realize the concept of Stealth Supersymmetry, i.e.
Negative Metric and the Unitarity of the S Matrix
Abstract It is shown that the introduction of a negative metric in quantum mechanics can lead to a unitary S-matrix, provided that all stable particle states are of positive square length. Such a
Large Hadron Collider reach for supersymmetric models with compressed mass spectra
Many theoretical and experimental results on the reach of the Large Hadron Collider are based on the mSUGRA-inspired scenario with universal soft supersymmetry breaking parameters at the apparent
R-Parity-violating supersymmetry
Theoretical and phenomenological implications of R-parity violation in supersymmetric theories are discussed in the context of particle physics and cosmology. Fundamental aspects include the relation
A NON-ANALYTIC S-MATRIX.
Abstract A study is made of theories having the unusual analyticity properties recently proposed by Lee and Wick. A prescription is given for setting up a covariant perturbation-theory expansion of
Massive vector scattering in Lee-Wick gauge theory
We demonstrate that amplitudes describing scattering of longitudinally polarized massive vector bosons present in non-Abelian Lee-Wick gauge theory do not grow with energy and, hence, satisfy the
