In an ophthalmic survey of 3676 industrial workers in Kaduna, Nigeria, 395 industrial workers had ocular defects. The anterior segment of the eye was mainly affected. A wide spectrum of other eye diseases was seen. Ninety-two workers had poor vision in one or both eyes or had totally lost the vision in one eye.
