Abstract We propose a way to observe the photon ring of the asymptotically anti-de Sitter black hole dual to a superconductor on the two-dimensional sphere. We consider the electric current of the superconductor under the localized time-periodic external electromagnetic field. On the gravity side, the bulk Maxwell field is sent from the AdS boundary and then diffracted by the black hole. We construct the image of the black hole from the asymptotic data of the bulk Maxwell field that… Expand

Holographic Superconductors
It has been shown that a gravitational dual to a superconductor can be obtained by coupling anti-de Sitter gravity to a Maxwell field and charged scalar. We review our earlier analysis of this theoryExpand
Einstein Rings in Holography.
TLDR
It is demonstrated that, for a thermal state dual to the Schwarzschild-AdS_{4} spacetime, the Einstein ring is constructed from the response function, which is determined by the total energy of the dual QFT. Expand
Stability of Holographic Superconductors
We study the dynamical stability of holographic superconductors. We first classify perturbations around black hole background solutions into vector and scalar sectors by means of a 2-dimensionalExpand
The gravity dual of a p-wave superconductor
We construct black hole solutions to the Yang-Mills equations in an AdS4-Schwarzschild background which exhibit superconductivity. What makes these backgrounds p-wave superconductors is that theExpand
Imaging black holes through the AdS/CFT correspondence
Thermal states in some quantum field theories (QFTs) correspond to black holes in asymptotically AdS spacetime in the $\mathrm{AdS}/\mathrm{CFT}$ correspondence. We propose a direct procedure toExpand
Non-equilibrium condensation process in a holographic superconductor
We study the non-equilibrium condensation process in a holographic superconductor. When the temperature T is smaller than a critical temperature Tc, there are two black hole solutions, theExpand
Nonlinear Evolution and Final Fate of Charged Anti-de Sitter Black Hole Superradiant Instability.
We describe the full nonlinear development of the superradiant instability for a charged massless scalar field coupled to general relativity and electromagnetism, in the vicinity of aExpand
Gauge gravity duality for d-wave superconductors: prospects and challenges
We write down an action for a charged, massive spin two field in a fixed Einstein background. Despite some technical problems, we argue that in an effective field theory framework and in the contextExpand
Wave optics in black hole spacetimes: the Schwarzschild case
We investigate the wave optics in the Schwarzschild spacetime. Applying the standard formalism of wave-scattering problems, the Green function represented by the sum over the partial waves isExpand
Viewing black holes by waves
We study scattering of waves by black holes. Solving a massless scalar field with a point source in the Schwarzschild spacetime, waves scattered by the black hole is obtained numerically. We thenExpand
