Woolly monkeys,Lagothrix lagothricha, were briefly studied in a cloud forest in Bolivar, Colombia during the dry season. Results suggest that this species is wholly arboreal, lives in multi-male heterosexual groups and does not defend territory. Woolly monkeys are folivorous and frugivorous. Social and auto-grooming are both reported. All age-sex classes except natal-coated infants and adult males indulge in play. Agonistic behaviour is very rare.
