}AIM: To evaluate the therapeutic effects of Niaodukang Jianji in treating chronic renal failure (CRF) and compare them with those of Shenan. METHODS: Patients with CRF were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. In the treatment group, patients orally took 20 ml Niaodukang 3 times a day while in the control group, patients were given an injection of 250 ml Shenan once a day.
