We have observed condensation of fermionic atom pairs in the BCS-BEC crossover regime. A trapped gas of fermionic 40K atoms is evaporatively cooled to quantum degeneracy and then a magnetic-field Feshbach resonance is used to control the atom-atom interactions. The location of this resonance is precisely determined from low-density measurements of molecule dissociation. In order to search for condensation on either side of the resonance, we introduce a technique that pairwise projects fermionic…

Molecular regimes in ultracold Fermi gases
The use of Feshbach resonances for tuning the interparticle interaction in ultracold Fermi gases has led to remarkable developments, in particular to the creation and Bose-Einstein condensation of
ABSENCE OF BCS CONDENSATION OF ATOMS IN A REPULSIVE FERMI GAS OF ATOMS
Bose–Einstein condensation of molecules and BCS condensation of Cooper pairs of atoms in an ultra-cold Fermi gas of atoms with a repulsive two-body interaction are studied by using the path integral
High-temperature atomic superfluidity in lattice Bose-Fermi mixtures.
TLDR
It is shown that for direct on-site fermion-fermion repulsion, the induced attraction can give rise to superfluidity via s-wave pairing at striking variance with the case of pure systems of fermionic atoms with direct repulsive interactions.
Phase diagrams for an ideal gas mixture of fermionic atoms and bosonic molecules
We calculate the phase diagrams for a harmonically trapped ideal gas mixture of fermionic atoms and bosonic molecules in chemical and thermal equilibrium, where the internal energy of the molecules

Role of particle interactions in the Feshbach conversion of fermionic atoms to bosonic molecules
We investigate the Feshbach conversion of fermionic atom pairs to condensed bosonic molecules with a microscopic model that accounts for the repulsive interactions among all the particles involved.

Adiabatic phase diagram of an ultracold atomic Fermi gas with a Feshbach resonance
We determine the adiabatic phase diagram of a resonantly-coupled system of Fermi atoms and Bose molecules confined in a harmonic trap by using the local density approximation. The adiabatic phase
Collective Excitations of Trapped Superfluid Fermi Gases in a BCS-BEC Crossover with Arbitrary Atom Numbers
We investigate the collective excitations of an axially-symmetric harmonically trapped superfluid Fermi gas in the BCS-BEC crossover, focusing on the dependence of the frequency of the collective
