Observation of exclusive dijet production at the Fermilab Tevatron p̄p collider

  title={Observation of exclusive dijet production at the Fermilab Tevatron p̄p collider},
  author={Cdf collaboration T. Aaltonen and et al.},
  journal={Physical Review D},
The authors present the first observation and cross section measurement of exclusive dijet production in {bar p}p interactions, {bar p}p {yields} {bar p} + dijet + p. Using a data sample of 310 pb{sup -1} collected by the Run II Collider Detector at Fermilab at {radical}s = 1.96 TeV, exclusive cross sections for events with two jets of transverse energy E{sub T}{sup jet} {ge} 10 GeV have been measured as a function of minimum E{sub T}{sup jet}. The exclusive signal is extracted from fits to…
Exclusive High Mass Di-leptons in CDF
In the Collider Detector at Fermilab, CDF, we have measured central exclusive production, p + {bar p} {yields} p + X + {bar p}, where X is a pair of leptons or photons and nothing else. In this talk
QCD Results from the Fermilab Tevatron proton-antiproton Collider
Selected recent quantum chromodynamics (QCD) measurements are reviewed for Fermilab Run II Tevatron proton-antiproton collisions studied by the Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF) and D0
Central exclusive dijet production at the Tevatron
We present a review of central exclusive dijet production in collisions, where the proton and antiproton emerge intact, and only two jets of transverse energy above a certain threshold are present in
Experimental results on diffraction at CDF
Diffractive events are studied by means of identification of one or more rapidity gaps and/or a leading antiproton. Measurements of soft and hard diffractive processes have been performed at the
Hard color-singlet exchange in dijet events in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV
Events where the two leading jets are separated by a pseudorapidity interval devoid of particle activity, known as jet-gap-jet events, are studied in proton-proton collisions at √ s = 13 TeV. The
Diffractive dijet production in p¯p collisions at s=1.96 TeV
We report on a study of diffractive dijet production in p¯p collisions at s√=1.96  TeV using the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron p¯p collider. A data sample from 310  pb−1 of integrated
Radiative QCD backgrounds to exclusive $H\to b\bar{b}$ production: radiation from the screening gluon
Central exclusive Higgs boson production, pp→p⊕H⊕p, at the LHC can provide an important complementary contribution to the comprehensive study of the Higgs sector in a remarkably clean topology. The
CDF experimental results on diffraction
Experimental results on diffraction from the Fermilab Tevatron collider obtained by the CDF experiment are reviewed and compared. We report on the diffractive structure function obtained from dijet
Large extra dimension effects through light-by-light scattering at the CERN LHC
Observing light-by-light scattering at the large hadron collider (LHC) has received quite some attention and it is believed to be a clean and sensitive channel to possible new physics. In this paper,

Diffraction at the Tevatron: CDF results
The diffractive program of the CDF Collaboration at the Fermilab Tevatron p{bar p} Collider is reviewed with emphasis on recent results from Run II at {radical}s = 1.96 TeV. Updated results on the
On radiative QCD backgrounds to exclusive H→bb̄ production at the LHC and a photon collider
Central exclusive Higgs boson production, pp→p⊕H⊕p, at the LHC and s-channel resonant Higgs production in the photon-collider option of the ILC can provide a very important contribution to the
The ZEUS Collaboration
A search for a narrow baryonic state in the pK S and pK 0 S system has been performed in ep collisions at HERA with the ZEUS detector using an integrated luminosity of 358 pb taken in 2003–2007. The
Physics with tagged forward protons at the LHC
Abstract. We emphasize the importance of tagging the outgoing forward protons to sharpen the predictions for New Physics at the LHC (such as the diffractive production of a light Higgs boson). The
Diffractive processes as a tool for searching for new physics
We show that the addition of detectors to tag the outgoing forward protons, at the LHC, will significantly enlarge the potential of studying New Physics. A topical example is Higgs production by the
New generation of parton distributions with uncertainties from global QCD analysis
A new generation of parton distribution functions with increased precision and quantitative estimates of uncertainties is presented. This work signiflcantly extends previous CTEQ and other global
CDF detector simulation framework and performance
The overall design, details of specific detector components and in particular the performance of the CDF simulation compared to collider data are described.
however (for it was the literal soul of the life of the Redeemer, John xv. io), is the peculiar token of fellowship with the Redeemer. That love to God (what is meant here is not God’s love to men)
This report deals with proposed new waiting restrictions and amendments to current waiting restrictions to take account of changing circumstances.
