Objective: To describe the characteristic of tongue image of patient with chronic renal failure(CRF) of deficiency syndrome,and to reveal the elemental rule on the change of the tongue image.Methods: The tongue parameters was detected by TP-1 tongue image digital analysis instrument,and the blood biochemistry indexes were measured with enzymic method and chromatometry.Results: The index of tongue color in deficient of spleen-kidney yang syndrome was regarded as the highest among five syndromes of deficient syndrome;the index of moistening and dryness in deficiency of both yin and yang syndrome was the lowest.There were correlations between tongue parameters and blood biochemical indexes,and the tongue parameters in different syndrome were related to different biochemical indexes.Conclusions: TP-1 tongue image digital analysis instrument can objectively describe the features of tongue image of every syndrome for CRF,which had reproducibility,and can reflect the relationships between various syndromes and the tongue parameters to some degrees.
