This chapter reviews ordered and topological groups and rings in algebra. The additive groups of integers, rational numbers, and real numbers are at the same time both groups and linearly ordered sets. If A is a subgroupoid of the groupoid G, then a partial ordering of the groupoid G induces a partial ordering in A.
