We provide a complete characterization of the astrophysical properties of the sigma Ori Aa, Ab, B hierarchical triple system and an improved set of orbital parameters for the highly eccentric sigma Ori Aa, Ab spectroscopic binary. We compiled a spectroscopic data set comprising 90 high-resolution spectra covering a total time span of 1963 days. We applied the Lehman-Filhes method for a detailed orbital analysis of the radial velocity curves and performed a combined quantitative spectroscopic…

Orbits, Distance, and Stellar Masses of the Massive Triple Star Sigma Orionis
We present interferometric observations of the sigma Orionis triple system using the CHARA Array, NPOI, and VLTI. Using these measurements, we spatially resolve the orbit of the close spectroscopic
Spectroscopic study of the extremely young O-type triple system Herschel 36 A in the Hourglass nebula – I. Orbital properties
• Physics
Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society
• 2019
We present a detailed spectroscopic study of Herschel 36 A (H36A), the main stellar component of the massive multiple system Herschel 36 in the Hourglass Nebula, based on high-resolution optical
Stars and brown dwarfs in the σ Orionis cluster
• Physics
Astronomy & Astrophysics

Context. Only a few open clusters are as important for the study of stellar and substellar objects, and their formation and evolution, as the young σ Orionis cluster. However, a complete
GU Monocerotis: A high-mass eclipsing overcontact binary in the young open cluster Dolidze 25 ?
• Physics
• 2016
Context. The eclipsing binary GU Mon is located in the star-forming cluster Dolidze 25, which has the lowest metallicity measured in a Milky Way young cluster. Aims. GU Mon has been identified as a
Non-synchronous rotations in massive binary systems
Context. Most massive stars are in binary or multiple systems. Several massive stars have been detected as double-lined spectroscopic binaries and among these, the OWN Survey has detected a
MONOS: Multiplicity Of Northern O-type Spectroscopic systems
Context. Multiplicity in massive stars is key to understanding the chemical and dynamical evolution of galaxies. Among massive stars, those of O type play a crucial role due to their high masses and
Gaia DR2 distances to Collinder 419 and NGC 2264 and new astrometric orbits for HD 193 322 Aa,Ab and 15 Mon Aa,Ab
Context. On the one hand, the second data release of the Gaia mission (Gaia DR2) has opened a trove of astrometric and photometric data for Galactic clusters within a few kiloparsecs of the Sun. On
Optical and Near-infrared Spectra of σ Orionis Isolated Planetary-mass Objects
• Physics
• 2017
We have obtained low-resolution optical (0.7-0.98 micron) and near-infrared (1.11-1.34 micron and 0.8-2.5 micron) spectra of twelve isolated planetary-mass candidates (J = 18.2-19.9 mag) of the 3-Myr
The MiMeS survey of Magnetism in Massive Stars : magnetic analysis of the O-type stars
We present the analysis performed on spectropolarimetric data of 97 O-type targets included in the framework of the Magnetism in Massive Stars (MiMeS) Survey. Mean least-squares deconvolved Stokes I
Atmospheric NLTE models for the spectroscopic analysis of blue stars with winds
• Physics
