PURPOSE Resistance to apoptosis is a hallmark of cancer and correlates with aggressiveness of tumors and poor prognosis. The Wnt/beta-catenin pathway plays a pivotal role in the genesis of colorectal cancer by mechanisms not fully elucidated yet.
