Numerical analysis of propagation in finite length 2D photonic crystal fiber using transmission line method

Abstract

This paper reveals the behavior of 2-D hexagonal photonic crystal fiber when analyzed using the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD). The wave propagation features are calculated by using the concepts of transmission lines. The effect of variation in lattice parameters of characteristic impedance of the PCF is also studied.
