A numerical model is developed for the motion of superparamagnetic nanoparticles in a nonNewtonian blood flow under the influence of a magnetic field. The rheological properties of blood are modeled by the Carreau flow and viscosity, and the stochastic effects of Brownian motion and red blood cell collisions are considered. The model is validated with existing data and good agreement with experimental results is shown. The effectiveness of magnetic drug delivery in various blood vessels is…

Magnetic nanoparticle drug delivery systems for targeting tumor
Tumor hypoxia, or low oxygen concentration, is a result of disordered vasculature that lead to distinctive hypoxic microenvironments not found in normal tissues. Many traditional anti-cancer agents
Mathematical modelling of magnetically targeted drug delivery
A mathematical model for targeted drug delivery using magnetic particles is developed. This includes a diffusive flux of particles arising from interactions between erythrocytes in the
Magnetic nanodrug delivery in non-Newtonian blood flows
With the goal of determining strategies to maximise drug delivery to a specific site in the body, a mathematical model for the transport of drug nanocarriers (nanoparticles) in the bloodstream under
The Use of Alternative Strategies for Enhanced Nanoparticle Delivery to Solid Tumors
TLDR
This review provides a short overview of the EPR and mechanisms to enhance it, after which it focuses on alternative delivery strategies that do not solely rely on EPR in itself but can offer interesting pharmacological, physical, and biological solutions for enhanced delivery.

In vitro and in vivo evaluation of folate receptor-targeted a novel magnetic drug delivery system for ovarian cancer therapy
TLDR
Folate ligand-attached and biomimetically designed magnetic drug delivery system was significantly more effective for therapy of xenografted nude mice than free doxorubicin based on tumor shrinkages and biochemical parameters.
