According to practical production of 240 mm×280 mm 0.45C steel billet in a certain factory,a mathematical model of solidification and heat transfer of square billet based on pin-shooting and temperature measuring was established.The influences of casting speed,superheat and flow rate of secondary cooling on the continuous casting billet temperature and thickness of shell were analyzed.The results show that casting speed is the primary factor.With increasing casting speed by 0.1 m/min,surface… CONTINUE READING
