We report the results of a new global QCD analysis, which includes deep-inelastic 𝑒/πœ‡ scattering data off proton and deuterium, as well as Drell-Yan lepton pair production in proton-proton and proton-deuterium collisions and π‘Š Β± /𝑍 boson production data from 𝑝𝑝 and 𝑝 Β― 𝑝 collisions at the LHC and Tevatron. Nuclear effects in the deuteron are treated in terms of a nuclear convolution approach with bound off-shell nucleons within a weak binding approximation. The off-shell correction is…

Light-Front Holography Model of the EMC Effect

A new two-component model of the EMC effect based on Light-Front Holographic QCD (LFHQCD) is presented. The model suggests the EMC effect is the result of the nuclear potential breaking SU(6) symmetry.…

Nuclear effects in the deuteron and constraints on the d / u ratio

We present a detailed study of nuclear corrections in the deuteron (D) by performing an analysis of data from deep inelastic scattering off proton and D, dilepton pair production in $pp$ and pD…

EPPS21: a global QCD analysis of nuclear PDFs

We present an updated global analysis of collinearly factorized nuclear parton distribution functions (PDFs) at next-to-leading order in perturbative QCD. In comparison to our previous fit, EPPS16,…

Inclusive measurements of inelastic electron and positron scattering from unpolarized hydrogen and deuterium targets

Results of inclusive measurements of inelastic electron and positron scattering from unpolarized protons and deuterons at the HERMES experiment are presented. The structure functions F2p and F2d are…

Extraction of Asymptotic Nucleon Cross Sections from Deuterium Data

The effect of Fermi motion on the extraction of asymptotic total neutron cross-sections from deuterium data is examined in some detail. Particular attention is paid to the threshold condition on the…

Shadowing, binding, and off-shell effects in nuclear deep-inelastic scattering.

TLDR
A unified description of nuclear deep-inelastic scattering over the whole region 0[lt][ital x][lt]1 of the Bjorken variable is presented, based on a relativistically covariant formalism which uses analytical properties of quark correlators.

Study of W and Z boson production in proton-lead collisions at the LHC with Kulagin-Petti nuclear parton distributions

We present a detailed study of the (pseudo)rapidity distributions of massive vector bosons produced in p+p and p+Pb collisions at the LHC within the next-to-leading order approximation in…

Nuclear parton distributions and the Drell-Yan process

We study the nuclear parton distribution functions on the basis of our recently developed semimicroscopic model, which takes into account a number of nuclear effects including nuclear shadowing,…

Isospin dependence of power corrections in deep inelastic scattering

We present results of a perturbative QCD analysis of deep inelastic measurements of both the deuteron and proton structure functions. We evaluate the theoretical uncertainty associated to nuclear…

Deuteron uncertainties in the determination of proton PDFs

We evaluate the uncertainties due to nuclear effects in global fits of proton parton distribution functions (PDFs) that utilise deep-inelastic scattering and Drell–Yan data on deuterium targets. To…
