In this letter, we present a novel robust method for embedding watermarks into dithered halftone images. The method is named paired sub-image matching ordered dithering (PSMOD), of which the decoder is provided with a priori information of the original watermark. The method utilizes the bit and sub-subimage interleaving preprocesses.
