The activities of intracellular receptors are regulated by their cognate ligands. Here we show that a series of related arylpyrazole compounds, which specifically bind the glucocorticoid receptor (GR), selectively modulated GR-regulated biological functions in preadipocyte, pre-osteoblast, and lung epithelial cell lines.
