Plants are potentially important for novel therapeutic drug leads, but the slowness of conventional methods for investigation of plants limits enthusiasm in the pharmaceutical industry. To overcome some of the drawbacks, we have applied high throughput pharmacological screening (HTPS) to crude plant extracts.
