The presented work contributes to the optimisation of heating processes in the dairy industry by investigations using structural synthesis, based on the analysis of individual plant parts. Partial aspects of a mathematically based model were extended by application of fuzzy logic. The simulation tool was then applied to different plant configurations and process parameters.
