Apres designation d’un lectotype de Mallodon plagiatum Thomson, 1867, l’etude comparative de la serie typique de cette espece conservee au MNHN avec Mallodon downesii Hope, 1843, nous a permis d’etablir la synonymie de ces deux especes.
