The characterization of normal truncated Toepltiz operators is first given by Chalendar and Timotin. We give an elementary proof of their result without using the algebraic properties of truncated Toeplitz operators.

Characterizations of dual truncated Toeplitz operators
Abstract We present an operator equation characterization of a dual truncated Toeplitz (DTT) operator using the compressed shift operator. This characterization is an analogue of the classicalExpand

Algebras of truncated Toeplitz operators
We find necessary and sufficient conditions for the product of two truncated Toeplitz operators on a model space to itself be a truncated Toeplitz operator, and as a result find a characterizationExpand
Algebraic properties of truncated Toeplitz operators
Compressions of Toeplitz operators to coinvariant subspaces of H2 are studied. Several characerizations of such operators are obtained; in particular, those of rank one are described. The paper isExpand
Commutation relations for truncated Toeplitz operators
For truncated Toeplitz operators, which are compressions of multiplication operators to model subspaces of the Hardy space $H^2$, we obtain criteria for commutation relations. The results show anExpand
A remark on the reproducing kernel thesis for Hankel operators
A simple proof is given of the so-called reproducing kernel thesis for Hankel operators. Notation := equal by definition; C the complex plane; D the unit disk, D := {z ∈ C : |z| < 1}; T the unitExpand
