We consider the Schwarzschild black hole and show how, in a theory with limiting curvature, the physical singularity “inside it” is removed. The resulting spacetime is geodesically complete. The internal structure of this nonsingular black hole is analogous to Russian nesting dolls. Namely, after falling into the black hole of radius $$r_{g}$$rg, an observer, instead of being destroyed at the singularity, gets for a short time into the region with limiting curvature. After that he re-emerges in…
Effective black-to-white hole bounces: the cost of surgery
We investigate possible geometries allowing transitions from a black hole to a white hole spacetime, by placing a space-like thin shell between them. Such proposals have been advanced recently to
Eicheons instead of Black holes
A new spherically-symmetric solution for a gravitational field is found in the conformally-unimodular metric. It is shown, that the surface of the black hole horizon in the standard Schwarzschild
Stability of magnetic black holes in general nonlinear electrodynamics
We study the perturbative stability of magnetic black holes in a general class of nonlinear electrodynamics, where the Lagrangian is given by a general function of the field strength of
Non-singular black holes and the limiting curvature mechanism: a Hamiltonian perspective
We revisit the non-singular black hole solution in (extended) mimetic gravity with a limiting curvature from a Hamiltonian point of view. We introduce a parameterization of the phase space which
Scalar perturbations and stability of a loop quantum corrected Kruskal black hole
We investigate the massless scalar field perturbations of a new loop quantum gravity motivated regular black hole proposed by Ashtekar et al. in [Phys.Rev.Lett. 121, 241301 (2018), Phys.Rev.D 98,
Topological black holes in mimetic gravity
In this paper, we construct some new classes of topological black hole solutions in the context of mimetic gravity and investigate their properties. We study the uncharged and charged black holes,
A ug 2 01 9 Black Hole Remnants
Introduction.— The two unresolved issues of black hole physics actively discussed during the last 50 years are: a) the singularity problem, b) the final state of black hole evaporation and, closely
Theoretical and phenomenological aspects of non-singular black holes
The issue of singularities in General Relativity dates back to the very first solution to the equations of the theory, namely Schwarzschild's 1915 black hole. Whether they be of coordinate or

We combine notions of a maximal curvature scale in nature with that of a minimal curvature scale to construct a non-singular Schwarzschild–de Sitter black hole. We present an exact solution within

A new theorem on space-time singularities is presented which largely incorporates and generalizes the previously known results. The theorem implies that space-time singularities are to be expected if
Cosmological Event Horizons, Thermodynamics, and Particle Creation
It is shown that the close connection between event horizons and thermodynamics which has been found in the case of black holes can be extended to cosmological models with a repulsive cosmological
Mimetic dark matter
A bstractWe modify Einstein’s theory of gravity, isolating the conformal degree of freedom in a covariant way. This is done by introducing a physical metric defined in terms of an auxiliary metric
Resolving cosmological singularities
We find a simple modification of the longitudinal mode in General Relativity which incorporates the idea of limiting curvature. In this case the singularities in contracting Friedmann and Kasner
A nonsingular universe.
This work proposes a modification of the Einstein theory of gravitation for which all isotropic cosmological solutions (even including matter) are nonsingular, and all solutions asymptotically approach de Sitter space, a solution with limiting curvature.

Cosmological theory without singularities.
A theory of gravitation is constructed in which all homogeneous and isotropic solutions are nonsingular and all curvature invariants are bounded, and it is expected that this model can be generalized to solve the singularity problem also for anisotropic cosmologies.
Cosmology with Mimetic Matter
We consider minimal extensions of the recently proposed Mimetic Dark Matter and show that by introducing a potential for the mimetic non-dynamical scalar field we can mimic nearly any gravitational
