We find that a new type of nonreciprocal modes exists at an interface between two parity-time- ($\mathcal{PT}$-) symmetric magnetic domains (MDs) near the frequency of zero effective permeability. This mode is nonpropagating and purely magnetic when the two MDs are semi-infinite, while it becomes propagating in the finite case. In particular, two pronounced nonreciprocal responses could be observed via the excitation of this mode: one-way optical tunneling for oblique incidence and… Expand

By varying the surface termination and the surrounding medium, it is found that the nonreciprocal bound or radiative Tamm plasmon polartions can be supported, manipulated, and well excited. Expand

It is demonstrated that there are two exceptional points in a new waveguide system consisting of zero index metamaterials with an air gap, which can induce unidirectional transparency and perfect bidirectional transmission without reflection can occur. Expand

It is shown that the chirality can be tailored independently of permittivity and permeability; thus, in such systems, a wide control of new optical properties including advanced polarization control is achieved. Expand
