is more general than k-inflation, and is called G-inflation. A general nonlinear solution for the metric and the scalar field is obtained at second order in gradient expansion. We derive a simple master equation governing the large-scale evolution of the nonlinear curvature perturbation. It turns out that the nonlinear evolution equation is deduced as a straightforward extension of the corresponding linear equation for the curvature perturbation on uniform φ hypersurfaces.

Gradient expansion of superhorizon perturbations in G-inflation

We develop the gradient expansion formalism for shift-symmetric Galileon-type actions. We focus on backgrounds that undergo inflation, work in the synchronous gauge, and obtain a general solution up

Stochastic inflation at all order in slow-roll parameters: Foundations

In this paper we develop the formalism for the stochastic approach to inflation at all order in slow-roll parameters. This is done by including the momentum and Hamiltonian constraints into the

Review on Stochastic Approach to Inflation

We present a review on the state-of-the-art of the mathematical framework known as stochastic inflation, paying special attention to its derivation, and giving references for the readers interested

Tackling non-linearities with the effective field theory of dark energy and modified gravity

This work presents the complete recipe to map any single field dark energy and modified gravity models into the non-linear effective field theory framework by considering a general action in the Arnowitt-Deser-Misner formalism.

Inflation in Non-de Sitter Background with Coherent States

We use the excited coherent states built over the initial non-de Sitter modes, to study the modification of spectra of primordial scalar fluctuation. Non-de Sitter modes are actually the asymptotic

Constraining cosmological scaling solutions of a Galileon field

We study a Lagrangian with a cubic Galileon term and a standard scalar-field kinetic contribution with two exponential potentials. In this model the Galileon field generates scaling solutions in

An extended action for the effective field theory of dark energy: a stability analysis and a complete guide to the mapping at the basis of EFTCAMB

We present a generalization of the effective field theory (EFT) formalism for dark energy and modified gravity models to include operators with higher order spatial derivatives. This allows the

Gradient Expansion Approach to Nonlinear Superhorizon Perturbations. II --- A Single Scalar Field ---

We formulate nonlinear perturbations of a scalar field dominated universe on super-horizon scales. We consider the case of a single scalar field. We take the gradient expansion approach. We adopt the

Conservation of the nonlinear curvature perturbation in generic single-field inflation

It is known that the curvature perturbation on uniform energy density (or comoving or uniform Hubble) slices on superhorizon scales is conserved to full nonlinear order if the pressure is only a

Enhancement of superhorizon scale inflationary curvature perturbations

We show that there exists a simple mechanism which can enhance the amplitude of curvature perturbations on superhorizon scales during inflation, relative to their amplitude at horizon crossing. The

Gradient Expansion Approach to Nonlinear Superhorizon Perturbations

Using the gradient expansion approach, we formulate a nonlinear cosmological pertur- bation theory on super-horizon scales valid to O( 2 ), whereis the expansion parameter associated with a spatial

Full nonlinear growing and decaying modes of superhorizon curvature perturbations

We clarify the behavior of curvature perturbations in a nonlinear theory in case the inflaton temporarily stops during inflation. We focus on the evolution of curvature perturbation on superhorizon

SUPER-HORIZON SCALE DYNAMICS OF MULTI-SCALAR INFLATION

We consider the dynamics of a multi-component scalar field on super-horizon scales in the context of inflationary cosmology. We present a method to solve the perturbation equations on super- horizon

Generalized G-Inflation —Inflation with the Most General Second-Order Field Equations—

We study generalized Galileons as a framework to develop the most general single-field inflation models ever, Generalized G-inflation, containing yet further generalization of Ginf lation, as well as

Application of gradient expansion to an inflationary universe

Using the long-wave perturbation scheme (gradient expansion), the effect of inhomogeneity on the inflationary phase is investigated. We have solved the perturbation equation whose source term comes
