Noninvasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) has been shown to improve exercise tolerance and health-related quality of life in patients with advanced COPD. This study tested the feasibility of nocturnal NIPPV as an additional tool in a hospital-based pulmonary rehabilitation program.
