Quantum electrodynamics (QED) in a strong constant magnetic field is investigated from the viewpoint of its connection with noncommutative QED. It turns out that within the lowest Landau level (LLL) approximation the 1-loop contribution of fermions provides an effective action with the noncommutative U(1)NC gauge symmetry. As a result, the Ward identities connected with the initial U(1) gauge symmetry are broken down in the LLL approximation. On the other hand, it is shown that the sum over the…

Dynamics of the O(N) model in a strong magnetic background field as a modified noncommutative field theory
In the presence of a strong magnetic field, the effective action of a composite scalar field in a scalar O(N) model is derived using two different methods. First, in the framework of world-line
Nonlocal regularisation of noncommutative field theories
We study noncommutative field theories, which are inherently nonlocal, using a Poincare-invariant regularisation scheme which yields an effective, nonlocal theory for energies below a cutoff scale.

Nondecoupling phenomena in QED in a magnetic field and noncommutative QED
Abstract The dynamics in QED in a strong constant magnetic field and its connection with the noncommutative QED are studied. It is shown that in the regime with the lowest Landau level (LLL)
Relativistic field theories in a magnetic background as noncommutative field theories
We study the connection of the dynamics in relativistic field theories in a strong magnetic field with the dynamics of noncommutative field theories (NCFT). As an example, the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio
On gauge invariance and vacuum polarization
This paper is based on the elementary remark that the extraction of gauge invariant results from a formally gauge invariant theory is ensured if one employs methods of solution that involve only

TLDR
The electrodynamical properties of the edge excitations in the fractional quantum Hall (FQH) states are studied and a practical way to probe the topological orders in the FQH states is shown.
One-loop corrections for e + e - annihilation into μ + μ - in the Weinberg model
Abstract Analytical experessions for the e + e − → μ + μ − cross section including all the one-loop radiative corrections in the context of the Weinberg model are presented. The systematic
Scalar One Loop Integrals
The completely general one-loop scalar one-, two-, three- and four-point functions are studied. Also an integral occurring in connection with soft bremsstrahlung is considered. Formulas in terms of
