We theoretically study the emission statistics of a weakly nonlinear photonic dimer during coherent oscillations. We show that the phase and population dynamics allow to periodically meet an optimal squeezing condition resulting in a strongly nonclassical emission statistics. By considering an exciton-polariton Josephson junction driven resonantly by a pulsed classical source, we show that a sizable antibunching should emerge in such a semiconductor system where intrinsic nonclassical…

Quantum exciton-polariton networks through inverse four-wave mixing
We demonstrate the potential of quantum operation using lattices of exciton-polaritons in patterned semiconductor microcavities. By introducing an inverse four-wave mixing scheme acting on localized
Boosting entanglement between exciton-polaritons with on-off switching of Josephson coupling
We show that the appropriate on-off switching of Josephson coupling between exciton-polaritons in coupled semiconductor microcavities can reveal the full capacity for generating entanglement with a
Maximizing entanglement in bosonic Josephson junctions using shortcuts to adiabaticity and optimal control
In this article we consider a bosonic Josephson junction, a model system composed by two coupled nonlinear quantum oscillators which can be implemented in various physical contexts, initially
Periodic squeezing in a polariton Josephson junction
TLDR
The results, linking the light statistics to squeezing, are a precursor to the study of nonclassical features in semiconductor microcavities and other weakly nonlinear bosonic systems.
Nonreciprocal unconventional photon blockade in a spinning optomechanical system
We propose how to achieve quantum nonreciprocity via unconventional photon blockade (UPB) in a compound device consisting of an optical harmonic resonator and a spinning optomechanical resonator. We

We use numerical optimal control to find the time-dependent coupling which enhances unconventional photon blockade in a bosonic Josephson junction where the two modes are initially loaded with weakly

Mastering the statistical properties of microcavity polaritons
Microcavity polaritons are hybrid quasiparticles emerging from the strong coupling between quantum well excitons and light in the resonator. Their unique half-light half-matter nature brings in
Dynamical blockade in a bosonic Josephson junction using optimal coupling

First observation of the quantized exciton-polariton field and effect of interactions on a single polariton
TLDR
The first experimental demonstration of a genuinely quantum state of the microcavity polariton field is reported, by swapping a photon for a polariton in a two-photon entangled state generated by parametric downconversion.
