Mechanical and logical systems admit an ‘additivity’ law of measures. However in other systems, such as biological and social systems, this may not hold. A simple non-additive model based on λ -non-additivity is considered. We characterize average charge for heterogeneous questionnaires under λ -nonadditivity and show that there are only two forms of the measure of charge, one containing one parameter and the other two. Limiting and particular cases cover those studied earlier. The average… Expand

Estimating Topic Modeling Performance with Sharma–Mittal Entropy
TLDR
It is demonstrated that Sharma–Mittal entropy is a convenient tool for selecting both the number of topics and the values of hyper-parameters, simultaneously controlling for semantic stability, which none of the existing metrics can do. Expand

TLDR
The concept of information functions of type β (β > 0) is introduced and by means of these information functions the entropies of typeβ are defined, which have a number of interesting algebraic and analytic properties similar to Shannon's entropy. Expand
