We consider a non-equilibrium generalization of the mixed SYK4+SYK2 model and calculate the energy dissipation rate W (ω) that results due to periodic modulation of random quadratic matrix elements with a frequency ω. We find that W (ω) possesses a peak at ω close to the polaron energy spliting ωR found recently in [1], demonstrating physical significance of this energy scale. Next, we study the effect of energy pumping with a finite amplitude at the resonance frequency ωR and calculate, in… Expand

Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev Model with Quadratic Perturbations: The Route to a Non-Fermi Liquid.
Stability of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK_{4}) model with a large but finite number of fermions N with respect to a perturbation, quadratic in fermionic operators is studied and analytic perturbance theory in the amplitude of the SYK_{2} perturbations is developed. Expand
Sachdev–Ye–Kitaev model as Liouville quantum mechanics
Abstract We show that the proper inclusion of soft reparameterization modes in the Sachdev–Ye–Kitaev model of N randomly interacting Majorana fermions reduces its long-time behavior to that ofExpand
Periodically Driven Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev Models.
While the NFL heats exponentially and thermalizes rapidly, it is reported that the presence of quasiparticles in the heavy FL obstructs heating and thermalization over comparatively long timescales. Expand
Remarks on the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model
The authors study in detail the quantum mechanical model of $N$ Majorana fermions with random interactions of a few fermions at a time (Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model) in the large $N$ limit. At lowExpand
Strongly Correlated Metal Built from Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev Models.
This work exemplifies an analytically controlled study of a strongly correlated metal crossover in full detail, including thermodynamics, low temperature Landau quasiparticle interactions, and both electrical and thermal conductivity at all scales. Expand
Energy absorption in time-dependent unitary random matrix ensembles: Dynamic versus anderson localization
We consider energy absorption in an externally driven complex system of noninteracting fermions with the chaotic underlying dynamics described by the unitary random matrices. In the absence ofExpand
The soft mode in the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model and its gravity dual
A bstractWe give an exposition of the SYK model with several new results. A non-local correction to the Schwarzian effective action is found. The same action is obtained by integrating out the bulkExpand
Phenomenology of the normal state of Cu-O high-temperature superconductors.
The universal anomalies in the normal state of Cu-O high-temperature superconductors follow from a single hypothesis: There exist charge- and spin-density excitations with the absorptive part of the polarizability at low frequencies proportional to T, where T is the temperature, and constant otherwise. Universal velocity correlations in disordered and chaotic systems.
An exact expression for a correlator of level ``velocities,'' is derived, and numerical evidence is provided which suggests that the universality extends to a wider class of systems and generalizes to arbitrary perturbations providing a new characterization of quantum chaos. Expand
Supersymmetry and theory of disordered metals
Abstract Theoretical studies of the motion of an electron in a disordered system have led to a number of remarkable results especially those concerned with localization and with the importance ofExpand
