A non-competitive immunoassay based on micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC) with laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) detection has been developed for the determination of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP). The anti-AFP antibody was labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and the product was used as a fluorescent tracer, then AFP was mixed with the labeled antibody.
