Non-classical virtual knots may have non-isomorphic upper and lower quandles. We exploit this property to define the quandle difference invariant, which can detect non-classicality by comparing the numbers of homomorphisms into a finite quandle from a virtual knot's upper and lower quandles. The invariants for small-order finite quandles detect non-classicality in several interesting virtual knots. We compute the difference invariant with the six smallest connected quandles for all non-evenly…

The column group and its link invariants
The column group is a subgroup of the symmetric group on the elements of a finite blackboard birack generated by the column permutations in the birack matrix. We use subgroups of the column group

Cocycle knot invariants from quandle modules and generalized quandle homology
Three new knot invariants are defined using cocycles of the generalized quandle homology theory that was proposed by Andruskiewitsch and Grana. We specialize that theory to the case when there is a
Quandle cohomology and state-sum invariants of knotted curves and surfaces
The 2-twist spun trefoil is an example of a sphere that is knotted in 4-dimensional space. A proof is given in this paper that this sphere is distinct from the same sphere with its orientation

A NOTE ON NON-CLASSICAL VIRTUAL KNOTS
The first aim of this paper is to give an example of a virtual knot which vanishes all the known invariants and to show that it is a non-classical (in particular, non-trivial) knot. The second is to
Virtual Crossing Realization
We study virtual isotopy sequences with classical initial and final diagrams, asking when such a sequence can be changed into a classical isotopy sequence by replacing virtual crossings with
STABLE EQUIVALENCE OF KNOTS ON SURFACES AND VIRTUAL KNOT COBORDISMS
TLDR
An equivalence relation, called stable equivalence, is introduced on knot diagrams and closed generically immersed curves on surfaces and it is shown that Kauffman's example of a virtual knot diagram is not equivalent to a classical knot diagram.
QUANDLES AT FINITE TEMPERATURES III
TLDR
The recover work of Kamada in telling ribbon knots apart is recovered and all elements of a class of twist-spun torus knots are distinguished.
RACKS AND LINKS IN CODIMENSION TWO
A rack, which is the algebraic distillation of two of the Reidemeister moves, is a set with a binary operation such that right multiplication is an automorphism. Any codimension two link has a
