DHOST inflation models where deviations from a pure de Sitter background are induced by an axion-like potential can lead to large non-Gaussianities. We investigate the nature of non-Gaussianities in these models and compare to the results given by the Planck experiment. The overlap between the DHOST non-Gaussianities and the equilateral, orthogonal and local templates can be rendered arbitrarily small. On the other hand, this does not preclude DHOST models from showing large non-Gaussianities…

Scale-dependence in DHOST inflation
We study the inflationary consequences of Degenerate Higher Order Scalar Tensor (DHOST) theories in a de Sitter background. We perturb the de Sitter background by operators breaking either the
Large non-Gaussianities in single-field inflation
We compute the three-point correlation function for a general model of inflation driven by a single, minimally coupled scalar field. Our approach is based on the numerical evaluation of both the
The shape of non-Gaussianities
We study the dependence on the configuration in momentum space of the primordial three-point function of density perturbations in several different scenarios: standard slow-roll inflation, curvaton
Generation and Characterization of Large Non-Gaussianities in Single Field Inflation
Inflation driven by a single, minimally coupled, slowly rolling field generically yields a negligible primordial non-Gaussianity. We discuss two distinct mechanisms by which a non-trivial potential
Primordial Non-Gaussianities from Inflation Models
This is a pedagogical review on primordial non-Gaussianities from inflation models. We introduce formalisms and techniques that are used to compute such quantities. We review different mechanisms
Cosmological evolution in DHOST theories
In the context of Degenerate Higher-Order Scalar-Tensor (DHOST) theories, we study cosmological solutions and their stability properties. In particular, we explicitly illustrate the crucial role of
Matter bispectrum in cubic Galileon cosmologies
In this paper we obtain the bispectrum of dark matter density perturbations in the frame of covariant cubic Galileon theories. This result is obtained by means of a semi-analytic approach to
Planck 2018 results. IX. Constraints on primordial non-Gaussianity
We analyse the Planck full-mission cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature and E-mode polarization maps to obtain constraints on primordial non-Gaussianity (NG). We compare estimates obtained
Shape of primordial non-Gaussianity and the CMB bispectrum
We present a set of formalisms for comparing, evolving, and constraining primordial non-Gaussian models through the CMB bispectrum. We describe improved methods for efficient computation of the full
Constraints on galaxy bias, matter density, and primordial non-Gaussianity from the PSCz galaxy redshift survey.
The bispectrum for the IRAS PSCz catalog is computed and it is found that the galaxy distribution displays the characteristic signature of gravity, imposing stringent constraints on non-Gaussian initial conditions.
