In $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric QCD with the $\mathrm{U}(N)$ gauge group and ${N}_{f}gN$ we study the crossover transition from the weak coupling regime at large $\ensuremath{\xi}$ to strong coupling at small $\ensuremath{\xi}$, where $\ensuremath{\xi}$ is the Fayet-Iliopoulos parameter. We find that at strong coupling a dual non-Abelian weakly coupled $\mathcal{N}=2$ theory exists, which describes low-energy physics at small $\ensuremath{\xi}$. The dual gauge group is $\mathrm{U}({N}_{f…

Mass spectra in softly broken ${\cal N}=2$ SQCD

Considered are ${\cal N}=2\, SU(N_c)$ or $U(N_c)$ SQCD with $N_F<2N_c-1$ quark flavors with the quark mass term $m{\rm Tr}\,({\bar Q} Q)$ in the superpotential. ${\cal N}=2$ supersymmetry is softly

Softly broken ${\cal N}=2$ SQCD: mass spectra in vacua with unbroken $Z_{2N_c-N_F}$ symmetry

Considered are ${\cal N}=2\, SU(N_c)$ or $U(N_c)$ SQCD with $N_F<2N_c-1$ equal mass quark flavors. ${\cal N}=2$ supersymmetry is softly broken down to ${\cal N}=1$ by the mass term $\mu_{\rm x}{\rm

Mass spectra in $${\mathcal {N}}=1$$N=1 SQCD with additional colorless but flavored fields

Considered is the $$\mathcal{N}=1$$N=1 supersymmetric QCD-like $$\Phi $$Φ-theory with $$SU(N_c)$$SU(Nc) colors and $$0< N_F<2N_c$$0<NF<2Nc flavors of light quarks

Mass spectra in ${\cal N}=1$ SQCD with additional colorless fields. Strong coupling regimes. II

This paper continues our studies in arXiV:1608.06452 [hep-th] of ${\cal N}=1$ gauge theories in the strongly coupled regimes. We also consider here the ${\cal N}=1$ SQCD-like theories with $SU(N_c)$

Dynamics of non-Abelian strings in supersymmetric gauge theories.

This thesis is devoted to studying strong coupling phenomena (and confinement in particular) in supersymmetric gauge theories. The central object of investigation is the non-Abelian string that is

String baryon in four-dimensional N=2 supersymmetric QCD from the 2D-4D correspondence

We study non-Abelian vortex strings in four-dimensional (4D) $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric QCD with the $\mathrm{U}(N=2)$ gauge group and ${N}_{f}=4$ flavors of quark hypermultiplets. It has

Non-Abelian Confinement in N=2 Supersymmetric QCD: Duality and Kinks on Confining Strings

Recently we observed a crossover transition (in the Fayet-Iliopoulos parameter) from weak to strong coupling in N=2 supersymmetric QCD with the U(N) gauge group and N{sub f}>N quark flavors. At

Non-Abelian vortex in four dimensions as a critical string on a conifold

Non-Abelian vortex strings supported in a certain four-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=2$ Yang-Mills theory with fundamental matter were shown [1] to become critical superstrings. In addition to

r Duality and 'Instead-of-Confinement' Mechanism in N=1 Supersymmetric QCD

We consider N=2 SQCD with the U(N) gauge group and N_f flavors (N_f>N) perturbed by an N=2 breaking deformation - a small mass term \mu for the adjoint matter. We study r-vacua, with the constraint

Moduli space potentials for heterotic non-Abelian flux tubes: Weak deformation

We consider N=2 supersymmetric QCD with the U(N) gauge group (with no Fayet-Iliopoulos term) and N{sub f} flavors of massive quarks deformed by the mass term {mu} for the adjoint matter, W={mu}A{sup

Crossover between Abelian and non-Abelian confinement in N = 2 supersymmetric QCD

In this paper we investigate the nature of the transition from Abelian to non-Abelian confinement (i.e. crossover vs phase transition). To this end we consider the basic $\mathcal{N}=2$ model where

Effective world-sheet theory for non-Abelian semilocal strings in N=2 supersymmetric QCD

We consider non-Abelian semilocal strings (vortices or vortex strings) arising in $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric $U(N)$ gauge theory with ${N}_{f}=N+\stackrel{\texttildelow{}}{N}$ matter

Non-Abelian string junctions as confined monopoles

Various dynamical regimes associated with confined monopoles in the Higgs phase of $\mathcal{N}=2$ two-flavor QCD are studied. The microscopic model we deal with has the

Non-Abelian vortices with product moduli

Vortices of a new type, carrying non-Abelian flux moduli CP{sup n-1}xCP{sup r-1}, are found in the context of softly broken N=2 supersymmetric quantum chromodynamics. By tuning the bare quark masses
