We extend the scope of Kitaev spin liquids to non-Archimedean lattices. For the pentaheptite lattice, which results from the proliferation of Stone-Wales defects on the honeycomb lattice, we find an exactly solvable non-Abelian chiral spin liquid with spontaneous time reversal symmetry breaking due to lattice loops of odd length. Our findings call for potential extensions of exact results for Kitaev models which are based on reflection positivity, which is not fulfilled by the pentaheptite…

Exact chiral spin liquid with non-Abelian anyons.
We establish the existence of a chiral spin liquid (CSL) as the exact ground state of the Kitaev model on a decorated honeycomb lattice, which is obtained by replacing each site in the familiar
Lattice spin models for non-Abelian chiral spin liquids
We suggest a class of two-dimensional lattice spin Hamiltonians describing non-Abelian SU(2) chiral spin liquids - spin-analogues of fractional non-Abelian quantum Hall states- with gapped bulk and
Exact chiral-spin-liquid state in a Kitaev-type spin model
We study a frustrated two-dimensional lattice spin model with Kitaev type interaction. The lattice is obtained from the honeycomb lattice by replacing half of its sites with triangles. Using the
Parent Hamiltonian for the non-Abelian chiral spin liquid
We construct a parent Hamiltonian for the family of non-Abelian chiral spin liquids proposed recently by two of us [PRL 102, 207203 (2009)], which includes the Abelian chiral spin liquid proposed by
Non-Abelian statistics and a hierarchy of fractional spin liquids in spin-S antiferromagnets
Department of Physics, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ 08544(Dated: May 24, 2011)We propose a hierarchy of spin liquids with spin S, which are generated via a Schwinger bosonprojection from
Non-Abelian chiral spin liquid in a quantum antiferromagnet revealed by an iPEPS study
Abelian and non-Abelian topological phases exhibiting protected chiral edge modes are ubiquitous in the realm of the fractional quantum Hall (FQH) effect. Here, we investigate a spin-1 Hamiltonian on
Generalized Kitaev models and extrinsic non-Abelian twist defects.
A "slave-genon" approach which generalizes the Majorana fermion approach in the Kitaev model is introduced, and it is shown that in a certain limit the model is analytically tractable and produces a non-Abelian topological phase with chiral parafermion edge states.
Non-Abelian statistics in a quantum antiferromagnet.
Preliminary numerical evidence is presented that the universality class of this topological liquid can be stabilized by a local Hamiltonian involving three-spin interactions involving non-Abelian statistics.
Non-Abelian topological spin liquids from arrays of quantum wires or spin chains
In this paper, a family of non-Abelian topologically ordered states are built from arrays of quantum wires with fine-tuned electron-electron interactions. With the help of non-Abelian bosonization,
Weyl spin liquids.
It is analytically demonstrate that the Majorana fermions form a Weyl superconductor for the Kitaev model on the recently synthesized hyperhoneycomb structure of β-Li_{2}IrO_{3} when applying a magnetic field.
