This paper proposes a video security scheme called ‘%vent Shullle” for the MPEG video compression standards. The prominent feature of the scheme is a shufning of coefficient events generated after DCT transformation stage of MPEG. Experimental results show that this scheme provides no bit overhead for MPEG bitstream while achieving low processing overhead to MPEG codec. This new scheme makes a significant contribution to the development of secure video communication systems.
