Developing efficient and earth-abundant oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalysts is of great importance in renewable energy research. Herein, we report nitrogen-doped carbon encapsulating γ-MoC/Ni heterostructures (γ-MoC/Ni@NC) for the first time as efficient OER electrocatalysts.
