A niosome based topical gel of adapalene was developed and characterized for the treatment of mild acne. Adapalene is a thirdgeneration topical retinoid primarily used in the treatment of mild-moderate acne. Niosomes containing adapalene were prepared by lipid film hydration technique using nonionic surfactants (span 60) and cholesterol at different concentrations. All the niosomal formulations were evaluated for FTIR studies, entrapment efficiency, optical microscopy, stability studies…

Pivotal role of Acitretin nanovesicular gel for effective treatment of psoriasis: ex vivo–in vivo evaluation study

Act nano niosomal gel produced a remarkable enhanced ex vivo permeation profile up to 30 h and significant drug deposition in the viable epidermal–dermal layers compared with those of Act gel, establishing its distinct in vivo antipsoriatic superiority.

COMPATIBILITY STUDY OF FOUR BINARY COMBINATIONS OF ACTIVE INGREDIENTS FOR DERMAL FILM FORMING SYSTEMS

Adapalene (ADA), levofloxacin (LEV), meloxicam (MEL) and miconazole nitrate (MIC) were selected as potential active ingredients for film systems with dermal or transdermal delivery. This study aimed

Nanotechnology-based formulations toward the improved topical delivery of anti-acne active ingredients

A critical analysis of reviewed nanosized anti-acne technological strategies is presented, strongly supporting controlled active ingredient release, improved skin permeation, and lower skin irritation.

Nano carrier mediated co-delivery of dapsone and clofazimine for improved therapeutic efficacy against tuberculosis in rats

Poly-(lactide-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticles (DCNPS) offered an effective mean of introducing safe delivery of dapsone and clofazimine systemically with enhanced in vivo efficacy against H37Rv strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Folate-Functionalized Lipid Nanoemulsion to Deliver Chemo-Radiotherapeutics Together for the Effective Treatment of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

The investigation highlights the vast utility of folate-decorated lipid emulsion in delivering chemo-radiotherapeutics to the specific NPC site and suggests FD-Dox + 90Y-LNE might offer a cost-effective, safe, efficacious, and clinically pertinent option to the available therapeutics.

Recent Advances Regarding the Therapeutic Potential of Adapalene

Adapalene could be a valuable therapeutic drug into the treatment of several types of cancer and some neurodegenerative diseases could be treated with a suitable formulation for intravenous administration.

It was found that the niosomal diclofenac sodium formulations prepared by employing a 1:l combination of Tween 85 and poloxamer F 108 elicits a better and consistent anti-inflammatory activity for more than 72 hours after administration of a single dose.

The Distribution of Doxorubicin in Mice Following Administration in Niosomes

Tumour levels of drug were higher following administration of cholesterol‐containing niosomes and this was reflected in the more effective reduction in tumour growth, and more studies are required before the significance of the metabolic data can be assessed.
