BACKGROUND Exposure to nickel, cobalt and chromate are important causes of occupational contact dermatitis. OBJECTIVES To estimate the prevalence of nickel, cobalt and chromate allergy in a population of consecutive patients and to investigate the possible association with individual and occupational risk factors.
