A photometric and proper motion survey has been obtained in 2 directions at intermediate latitude: ( l = 167:5, b =4 7:4; 2000 =9 h 41 m 26 s ,2000 = +4953 0 27 00 ) and (l = 278, b =4 7 ; 2000 =1 1 h 42 m 56 s , 2000 = 1231 0 42 00 ). The survey covers 7.13 and 20.84 square degrees, respectively. The limiting magnitude is about 18.5 in V for both directions. We have derived the density laws for stars (MV 3.5) as a function of distance from the galactic plane. The density laws for stars follow…
