A new two-quadrant analogue multiplier based on pulse width modulation and a sampled-data technique is proposed. The inherent simple working principle of this multiplier is responsible for its good accuracy, high linearity and fast response. A scheme for extending the operation of the multiplier to four-quadrants is also presented.
